Part A · Download an Activity statement as CSV
-
1
Open Statements in Client Portal
Log in at interactivebrokers.com and go to Performance & Reports → Statements.
-
2
Pick the Activity statement
Choose Activity (the default statement that includes trades, positions, NAV and cash). A Default activity statement is fine.
-
3
Set period & format
- • Period: a custom range, or up to the last 365 days
- • Format: CSV
-
4
Run & download
Click Run and save the
.csvfile to your computer. -
5
Import into Helmfolio
In Helmfolio click Import CSV and choose the file. Helmfolio reads the multi-section IBKR layout automatically and merges it with your existing data — duplicates are skipped.
Tip. Re-importing a newer statement won't double-count anything — Helmfolio matches trades and skips ones it already has, so your local history keeps growing safely over time.

Part B · Have IBKR email a statement daily
Set this up once and IBKR will send a statement to your inbox on a schedule — so importing into Helmfolio becomes a quick daily habit.
-
1
Open statement delivery settings
In Client Portal go to Performance & Reports → Statements, then open Delivery Settings (sometimes shown as a gear icon on the statement, or under Settings → Reporting → Statement Delivery).
-
2
Choose the Activity statement & delivery
Select the Activity statement, set delivery method to Email, and confirm the email address on your IBKR profile is correct.
-
3
Set frequency to Daily & format to CSV
Pick Daily frequency and CSV format where offered. Save.
-
4
Each day: save the attachment & import
When the daily email arrives, save the CSV and use Import CSV in Helmfolio. It only adds what's new.
Menu names vary. IBKR's delivery options differ by account type and change with portal updates — the exact labels above may look slightly different for you. Search the portal for "statement delivery" if you can't find it. Want zero manual steps? The Flex Token guide lets Helmfolio pull everything with one click — no files, no email.
